Shows textual description of the town and fort at lower left, beneath the inset plans. Text begins "I can scace conceive it possible, to find out a more Injudicious Situation, or Construction for a Fort, intended to protect a Town, than that here practiced". It is signed at lower right, "I. C. Lieut.t Engrs" and reference to the date 1774 is made. "I. C." is John Campbell, mentioned in Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmakers as "Engineer at Pensacola"
