Date attributed as a fort is shows at the junction of the Black River with Connecticut River - "Fort No. 4", which was in use between 1744 and 1760. No towns are named on the Black River (Springfield was founded in 1760).
Shows scale bar at lower left with four inches equal to 10 miles.
Shows title at lower left with a list of distances beneath.
Includes a separate sheet of manuscript text in ink providing a description of the area. The text concludes "Ensign Wilsons Report of the Riviere de la Garbe with a Sketch of the Survey of it".
