Notes:
Date range from later manuscript addition to the map in pencil - "8.th August 1859 [1759]". However, the map shows General Murray's landing place and camp opposite Point Tremble suggesting the 1760 Battle of Quebec (or Battle of Sainte-Foy).
Relief shown by shading.
Shows the Saint Lawrence River from Platon Point to Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly - names "St Laurence River" on the map.
Shows a compass arrow orienting north to the top of the map.
Shows an arrow with feathered fletch within the river indicating the direction of flow.
Shows "Saw mill" and "Corn Mill".
Shows "hier Brig.ds Murray tryed to land" on the north bank of the river and "Brig.d Murray Camp" on the south bank, just west of "S.t Antony" (Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly).
Suggestion of Thomas Sowers as cartographer in previous British Library cataloguing based on comparison with Add. Ms 57,708.4.
Copy at Add Ms 57,704.10. Bound in R.U.S.I. Vol LXIX. Shows manuscript addition of "10" in pencil at upper right. Shows manuscript addition of "A 25/50" in pencil at lower left. Shows manuscript addition of "A 58" in pencil at lower right. Laid on archival tissue. Green circular label to verso shows "24". White label to verso showing "DRAWER 28 SECTION 2". Manuscript annotation to verso (in same hand as addition of date to recto?) shows "Quebec Siege of". Paper watermarks shows a fleur de lys within a shield and "LVG" beneath. Countermark "IV".
