More than 300 guests attended the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center Explorer Award dinner honoring Mayor Thomas M. Menino on February 1, 2013. The elegant black-tie event was held in the Bates Reading Room in the historic McKim Building at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square.

Co-Chaired by Alan M. Leventhal, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Capital, and David Long, President and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance, the event raised over $1 million to support educational programs at the Leventhal Map Center.
